La Roux for you

La Roux means red hair in French and let me let you she is red hot. This London based electronic duo is touring sellout shows worldwide, including the BIG, HUGE, FAN-FAG-ULOUS 20 year aniversity of the Palm Springs white party where she will share the stage with Lady GaGa. I think the reason she is so lovable is that she sounds like the modern version of the “Purple rain” days of Prince. She has serious bloody potential as one of the many singers coming out of the “BoomBox” club in London (the fact that she looks like young Tilda Swinton helps).

Minnesota has found what to do with their long winters; make cool music. Rather than hard core, this band is classified as more of a "slowcore." Works for me. Their new album, "Drums and Guns" is the latest of 37 released since 1993.
