xmas

For those of us on exactly in the spirit yet or just tired of all the holiday music drummed into our heads hopefully these seldom heard videos will put you in the mood.

Donald Fraser with Jessye Norman

My newest and most favorite Christmas song. There is a link amateur version that is as beautiful in my humble opinion. Truly an ethereal song that brings magic to my ears and heart.

The Sweeney Sisters

Classic SNL skit that makes me laugh every time. I think I’ll dress like them for Halloween one year.

Little Dragon

This is a bit of a stretch but there is a present and we used to make skits and shadow puppets at my house xmas eve and night. Plus I think the impressive shadow play makes up for it.

- Twice

Amy Studt

Amazing animation to a haunting love song by the British singer/songwriter. This single was release on Dec. 3 for the upcoming album due for April 08. She has certainly used the 4 years since her last album to nurture her talents. The same amateur animator has done the same song but for different holidays… see links below

Point to Point

Just a lil message for world peace.

- Happy Holidays from Candy Cane Valley

Rachmaninov performed by the Robert Shaw Festival Singers

Called the greatest musical achievement of the Russian Orthodox Church, this is one of my all time favorite albums. The video is ok, but the sound is fantastic…. You made need to turn up your volume to truly appreciate this 3, 5, 6, and part harmony. The basses are the best! Truly a glimpse of heaven.
