Low Anthem
The Rhode Island band traffics in pure Americana, crafting roots-rock that sounds unadorned and unmistakably sincere. Tom Waits, Neil Young and Bob Dylan as influences, The Low Anthem has honed a folksy, layered sound with a flair for the rustic. The American version of the Canadian band Iron and Wine.
- Charlie Darwin (song starts at 0:15)
Janelle Monae
A Michael Jackson (from the 5 days) mixed with a tiny dash of Grace Jones. She makes a urban 80's sound that sings of social issues. She will be performing in a few clubs that require passes, a few parties that require invites, and free public party hosted by Chop Shop Records (Atlantic Records) on Saturday, March 21.
- Sincerely Jane
More rock version of Iron and Wine and more accessible. Grunge is Back BTW.

The man voice portrays a severely wounded soul which he uses to sing discretely anti-war songs among other themes. His music has been heard in car commercials, sitcoms, and runway shows (Gucci, Fendi, Versace and Channel), as well as a favored base for remixes and experimental Youtube videos. His story is a n interesting one. He look has not all was been so androgynous. He found and preformed in many off-off-off Broadway extreme theatre company productions.

With a coffee shop flair this band has been at the fore- front of the emo movement before emo was the scene to be seen in. A texturally complex dream vocals combined with guitar makes this band Canadian international stars for the pothead/hippie cross over genre.
